Ping brings a unique professional background, having been admitted to legal practice in 2010 and working as a Registered Builder (DB-U, CB-L) since 2012.
With her family, she ran a structural steel business completing large projects such as construction projects for hospitals and schools. She has first-hand experience of the multitude of legal issues facing the construction industry and the legal solutions needed to resolve them.
Driven by her desire to use her legal knowledge to advise and support construction businesses, she officially created Level Playing Field Lawyers in 2017. Caroline holds experience in commercial and building and construction matters. Since her family began undertaking commercial and residential property development, Caroline has developed an extensive exposure to defect reports, homeowner claims and liaising and negotiating with builders, experts and engineers.
Caroline is particularly experienced in contract review and negotiation, lease agreements, contract termination, and proceedings varying from VCAT to the Supreme Court. Caroline has also worked in immigration law.
Caroline is also responsible for administering training workshops to businesses in the construction industry, such as contract entry training, contract management training, general contracting training or training on specific issues that commonly arise on construction projects.
Holding a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Business (Banking and Finance) degree from Monash University, Caroline has a strong understanding of complex financial disputes.
